Our construction contractor, United Infrastructure (UI), has been granted a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) by Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWCC) to implement temporary three-way traffic signals and a pedestrian diversion route on Ince Lane and Ash Road, Elton.
These measures are in place to allow UI to safely access the construction compound off Ince Lane and Ash Road, which is being used as part of the construction of the Main Onshore Pipeline (the Pipeline).
As a result, these temporary lights will be in operation for approximately five days, starting the week commencing 28 September 2026. Following the completion of these works, the lights will be removed, and both roads will operate as normal from Saturday 3 October 2026 (subject to progress).
The three-way traffic management signals will comprise of two signal heads located on Ince Lane and one signal head located on Ash Road, a road off Ince Lane.
A temporary pedestrian diversion route will also be in place for the duration of these works, with clear signage installed to safely guide pedestrians around the works area.
These measures have been designed to maintain the safe movement of traffic while allowing construction vehicles to safely enter and leave the construction compound off Ince Lane and Ash Road.
