United Infrastructure (UI), our Engineering, Procurement and Construction contractor, has implemented temporary 'stop and go' traffic management measures today (Monday, 2 March 2026) on Colliery Lane, Mancot, as part of the Main Onshore Pipeline's (the Pipeline) construction programme. These temporary traffic management measures are scheduled to end on Friday, 6 March 2026.
Stop and go traffic management is a manual traffic control method used to manage traffic flow around roadworks that restricts a road to a single lane. As part of these measures, traffic marshals from the UI project team will be using hand-held, double-sided signs (one side marked "STOP" and the other "GO") to alternate the flow of traffic from both directions.
These measures are in place to ensure the safety of the community and on-site project team. They also keep traffic flowing as freely as possible while heavy goods vehicles enter and exit the construction compounds near Colliery Lane.
Temporary traffic measures Colliery Lane have been approved by Flintshire County Council (FCC) in advance, and more information of these works can be found in the roadworks map section of the FCC website here
